Tail Care
DONNING YOUR TAIL:
We recommend putting your tail on in the water, or right next to the water. Never hop in the tail, as this is dangerous and will rub holes in the fabric.
- First, start at the waist and roll the fabric down to the monofin.
- Carefully insert your feet, both at the same time, while holding on to the strap. Put the strap up over your heels. If the strap comes unhooked, simply hook it back on again.
- Either lying down or standing up in the water, pull the tail up over your waist.
For neoprene tails, simply slip your feet in, adjust the straps and zip the tail up.
CARE:
Always rinse out tails in cold water after swimming, the bathtub works well for this. You can add gentle soap if you want to hand-wash. (Do not put into the washer, unless you remove the monofin, and never use hot water.) Drape to dry and get all the drips out, then lay flat to finish drying. Avoid hot water at all costs — this will ruin the fabric/neoprene.
For neoprene tails, unzip and remove the monofin; let dry completely.
Remember: NEVER swim in or out of the tail without supervision.
