Rocky Mountain Mermaid Adventures: Paradise Cove with AquaTails
Our new Meetup had an adventurous first shoot & swim at Paradise Cove, Guffey, CO, in July, 2017. We had a half-mile hike up and down over rocks and creeks, through lush mysterious valleys, then a climb down to the cove. Though it was a cool day and we got there around 10am, already there were cliff jumpers showing up to enjoy this hidden gem. We were able to get our shooting in, you can’t even tell there were lots of people around. The water was COLD!!!! So cold it instantly brought back my migraine from that morning – and I have swam in very cold waters before. If I hadn’t started the day with my headache, I’m sure that wouldn’t have happened. Mermaid Shannon didn’t have any problems like that, but we swam only a short bit due to how cold the water was.
Mermaid Shannon is featuring our custom-painted H2O neoprene tail, and I in our Sequin Tail, with the new polymer ridged fluke. Video to come soon!
Please join us, anyone in Colorado, for more mermaid shoot & swims – in August 2017 we will be at the beach on Aurora Reservoir in Denver. We hope and plan to host a swim & shoot once a month.
